You subconsciously fell for the can't enjoy peast a certain age or point in life meme

Your mind cucked itself
>>
you've watched everything worth watching
creativity is dead
>>
Even the best shit in the world gets tiring if you have it too much. Take some time off watching anime, do other hobbies instead like vidya/films/porn/etc., and once you feel up to it get back into anime
>>
>>39641906
You're finally growing up and realizing anime is mostly shit, just like every other form of media.
>>
>>39641906
well if you're not intrested in anime anymore then you've found something more intresting or you just need a break from it if it has been in your life for so long
>>
>>39641946
i haven't found something more interesting, i don't do anything at all and i have been feeling more depressed than ever

A loss of interest in your hobbies is a sign of depression, anon
Get on happy pills and maybe you can enjoy anime again.

same thing happened to me, its like burnout. even as a hobby i guess this can happen too. you'd think burnout happens to stuff like studying or shit you are forced to do but it seems the case is too much of something is never good. this gives me the idea that in life there needs to be a balance. but then you'd hear how these successful people say that they just work hard and shit and do "the things you like, like your hobby" but then if you work hard and shit you'd get burnout too, no? maybe they have some sort of other activities to keep their balance? lol, it must be...they say hard work will lead to success but if someone does something 24/7, then they should succeed...but what if they dont? then talent is really the key to one's success, of course including the hard work...hard to accept that my value in society will be deemed lower because i wasn't born with talent even working as hard as one with talent. it must be my learning curve is slower or something...i can't accept this...whats the point of living then??

This has happened to me with everything I've ever enjoyed. First it was video games, then films, then anime and video games again. Seriously considering killing myself.

most "talented" people are just people who work really hard, or they have people around them that force them to work hard. doing things over and over again is boring for anyone, that's why it takes people so long to get good at things. it's the reward that you get from it that makes it worthwhile. if you're doing something over and over again and the act of doing it doesn't really interest you, or the result is not something worth working towards, then you have no reason to do it. these are just my opinions, but i think the thing you are getting confused with is that people like to lie/exaggerate about how hard they work desu. there is definitely a lot of work that goes into getting good at things and being successful, but there is also long periods of disinterest, people don't like to talk about them though, when i figured this out it really pissed me off. it's basically one gigantic normie illusion. i'm not saying that some people don't work 6 hours a day at something for long periods of time, but there is definitely times when they work lesser on it, but they never speak of it. i mean, when you think about it, is there any actual proof besides anecdotal how hard someone has to work to get something or somewhere? and is there really any actual proof that talent is not just synonymous with hard work and that it's a lie to discourage you from achieving your dreams? anyways, is there anything specific you'd like to get really good at anon and are having trouble with?

if you say they are working less hours and are still succeeding, then im proof that talent really triumphs..cus i fucking work hard...maybe the effort is not used correctly but the progress is slow, and probably someone more talented would have everything in a perfect setting to allow themselves to succeed becus thats what talent does, it sets them up to succeed. while im just stuck working on a "project". how do i change my routine, attitude, etc? it seems i just always revert back to old habits, and maybe just wasting more time..some days im learning and improving but then its too little....im starting to also think luck has to be involved to succeed....i know this behavior is not the right way to continue but ive failed so many times that, like most of r9gay, i have next to no hope but wallow in this cycle of negativism...
its all too edgy.. just like that fucking retarded ass linkin park song..the struggle remains nonetheless..

I've just grown tired of self insert light novel adaptations. I haven't been watching anything recent as of late. I can't even talk to people about anime because they think I'm snobby for not wanting to watch shit like Hunter X Hunter and Boruto. Guys my age (mid 30's) always giving me shit like how I really need to check out *insert shounen anime here* because "Oh man it's getting so good lately" and they just badger me over and over. I don't want to watch it. I'm burnt out on anime leave me alone. I want to like it again as well like OP.

99% of everything is shit. Once you've done enough of any hobby you'll pick up on what is and isn't worth consuming.
