It would be strange, that's what we know from experience. Even then there are people that are willing to go for such a lifestyle and actually want it.
It's upsetting that the two times we did find someone like that in one case the person was on the other side of the world, on the other case the person was from an extremely conservative family and she was facing to either be completely pushed away by family and friends or be with us. And in the end family is more important than a relationship that isn't guaranteed to last, so we all decided that she should choose family.

It being strange doesn't make it wrong, as long as it's not based on short term flings that end up breaking up all the relationships and leaving everyone hurt or feeling used up. We both went and looked through poly communities and it seems all of them were based on specific sexual fantasies to fill when the current partner was unable to do so. Basically having an X amount of partners for X amount of specific fetishes.

Kinda yes. We love the idea of taking care of someone, the dynamic of such a relationship, being taken care of by two people from the perspective of any one person and so on.
Another problem that usually arises for us when looking for someone is that neither of us are that sexual. We'd like it to be more emotional overall, where as people interested in poly stuff basically want to bang often.
As far as the child/parent goes I don't like being childish at all, but she does. And she isn't able to act childish with me, since she'd want someone to be like that together, As where I enjoy taking care of her and wouldn't mind it if the other person acted like that aswell.
