Gonna dump some paintings I did.
Tell me what y'all think.
feel free to tell me:
which are your favorites,
what emotion they give off,
your ranking of them,
any questions you have,
things I can do to improve them,
what they remind you of,
general comments on them,
etc. etc.
since I have to include text with each reply, I'll give a random line of ee cummings poetry from a book I have next to me

there's a fucking board for this
meantime in dreams let us investigate
unironically breddy gud but you're obviously depressed
>>39415933
I'm glad you like them.
I'm not depressed, though. So don't worry about me.
our mouths fears hearts lungs arms hopes feet hands
since i and you are on our ways to dust
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
what does it all come down to? love? Love
>>39415796
You are good, although with what you've posted all your paintings seems to bland into a uninspired mush.
through the sharp light cryingly as the knights flew
Okay this charcoal drawing is the last I'm postin for now cuz I don't want it to be overkill.
If you want to see more, just ask.
>>39415915
I really like this one.Its actually the second time seeing it
What i see is spiritual onenness and a feeling of the moment you reach a state of enlightment or in other words when out of no where youve seen the bigger picture about sth suddenly without having even been thinking on it.Really think it has some depth and mistery in it.
Ok dude your paintings are good but you've been spamming these same paintings for the past week.

Decent use of color for lighting, the drab tones and subject matter give the painting a clear emotive story.
>>39415842
Proportionally better than the first, not in a true to life sense but in an artistic impressionistic sense. The use of neutral colours however is a little dissapointing.
>>39415889
If the painting ends up being small, don't opt out for haphazard brush strokes, fill the scene.
>>39415915
The scratchwork is amazing, really adds a pleasing texture to the dark emotive power of the painting. The vibrant colours however haven't been used to highlight what you truely want to convey.
>>39415932
So far this is my favorite, some scratchwork would make it better, as it seems to have worked for the earlier painting.
>>39415965
The scratchwork is too sporatic, but a can really feel the motive power of each cut.
The rest of the work is either too far from your original style or appears to haphazard in propotion.
I would happily purchase these at an art vendor.

Gorgeous analysis. Thank you very much. I love reading comments like yours and knowing that people see a lot of depth in my work.
>>39416358
You're right. I've been in a bit of a rut as of late and I need to get back to producing more art rather than posting it here.
>>39416369
Dude awesome. Thank you so much for taking your time to form this response.
If you really do want to buy one of my pieces, you can here:

this is the only good piece of artwork you have,
>>39415796
you can stylize all you want but at least make it appealing next time
The brushwork is great and orgininal, but you still need to grade up your basic drawing skills to get rid of some unintentionally naive mannerisms such as over too big eyes and cute lips. I'm not sure where those come from unless you're a female.

Do you plan on creating more Christian imagery?
I like em
Keep doin your thing OP
>>39417395
Probably. I find Christian imagery to be very powerful.
Nice work.
I've tried to practice drawing, but I'm shit. Art just seems like magic to me.
>>39417708
As much as it seems like magic - it is a craft.
Like anything else, practice is what leads to skill.
You just have to be willing to suffer through years of painstaking learning and error until you can start to enjoy it. It's well worth the sacrifice, though.

satanic imagery is better, hail satan.

I went to your Etsy store but everything is very small.
You should do more larger works and I would like very much to buy something like this on 20x24" stretched canvas.

>it is a craft
I understand that intellectually.
>You just have to be willing to suffer through years of painstaking learning and error until you can start to enjoy it.
That's my problem. It's hard to keep practicing something I hate.
>>39418800
If all comes down to your motivation for practicing art.
The proper "why" can overcome even the greatest "how"
>>39419169
I think art is neat.
That's not strong motivation.
No amount of Nietzsche can overcome my depressed nihilism.
>>39417116
>>39417768
i'm guessing El Greco and Picasso are some of your influences?
>>39419632
Yes.
El Greco was incredibly ahead of his time. It's nearly incomprehensible.
And I can't even begin to describe how much I revere Picasso.
>>39415796
i suggest you try to practice more on representational before you make your own style. more than half of these paintings all look the same because of your lack of knowledge and ability
>>39419814
I'm also working on my represantiarional painting skill.
Here's a painting I'm working on. It's not quite done yet though.
