The problem with the Anker one is the bottlenecking. The hub built by HyperDrive has a much larger bandwidth than most of the others, which is great for minimizing latency if you're going to be using your computer for something like making music.
However, if you're only going to use the hub for transferring data or casting a display, then I guess whatever's fine.

The build quality is great on the HyperDrive as well.

You could get a 1TB SSD and never even need an external hard drive. Or better yet, get a 1TB SSD AND a 1TB ext hard drive and use that to back up your computer. That way you never have to delete anything, which is great if you're good at organizing and labeling files.
