Painkillers only work temporarily, i'd recommend jamming another one in your left earcanal so the pain in your right face is distracted by the pain from the other side of your face. After you're finished taking my professional doctors advice the pain will be gone on the right side of your face.

I called my country's national health line to book an emergency appointment, and they asked me a lot of questions and said that I probably have a perforated eardrum, and that regardless of the pain I should be okay as long as I visit my GP by the end of this week.

I would still see your GP sooner than that because there's chance for infection and permanent hearing loss. It sounds like to me you really fucked your ear, but if you still want to wait, then be careful. Wear an ear plug on that side at least so that nothing foreign can get into your canal and irritate it further.
