I grew up in a third world shithole were the standard was not having air conditioners. A shitty fan, at most. We went to the beach to our richer aunts/uncles timeshares for vacation every year or so. After chilling at the beach, the caged lion nearby, the lions nearby or whater I would come home and step into an air condition havana. that feeling of cold fresh air hitting your skin after being outside in a late afternoon summer day.

When I come home in the summer I am tormented as by my past because of air conditioning and im not allowed to turn it off.
