How do you know they live near you, how did you find them? What do you mean when you say they were even more awkward? Do you live in a big city?

1. By searching certain keywords
2. I used my state, my university, and a recent anime con as keywords in my search
3. They used "haha" or "lol" a lot. They would send long messages, but never ask me questions. At first, I thought they weren't interested, but they always replied within a few hours. One of them would even reply within a couple of minutes.
4. My college is in a city, but it's a small one.

I answered this in my first reply, but I'll elaborate. Like a rambling autist, one of the dropped qts would respond with paragraph-long messages, when I'd only send like three sentences in my message. She never asked me questions back. I assumed she wasn't interested, but she would literally respond to my messages after only a few minutes of sending them out. (I think the Tumblr app is pretty much an instant messaging service.) She also used "lol" a lot, which just made things weird.

This one seemed pretty lonely. She reblogged posts bitching about being sad and introverted. She had two cute cosplay pictures up, but one only had two likes, and the other three likes. If she wasn't boring as fuck, I'd have kept talking to her.
