I guess it is. Personally, I liked the steam threads better. The thread stayed bumped from the drama leached off of a few meme relationships but you could still find people there who weren't participating in any circlejerk bullshit.
Plus, steam profiles let you look at them to glean a bit of an idea whether you'll be compatible with someone before you start talking with them. With discord you're taking a complete shot in the dark with everyone you add from this thread.

I stopped seeing for friend because I couldn't handle it anymore. I put an effort and they delete me anyway because I'm not interesting and I'm kinda depressed. I can can't say I'm better now though, I might try again soon. I don't know...
