I haven't been that awkward lately, I have my moments, but not all the time, my autism usually shows in my interests, my habits and my personality, I hate changes, I hate touching certain things, I hate metallic smells, I hate repetitive sounds if there's someone other than me making them, I've gotten completely obsessed with dumb shit like Ghostbusters or Doctor Who to just hate it months later because I liked it so much it was embarassing, stuff like that

I hate it when people talk to me because I don't know what to say. Some of them realize this yet press on. Why fill the air with meaningless words. It's not a matter of me being superior I just don't understand, as much as I've tried, I've tried so hard to fit in and be liked but it just drove me away further from normals. Then I decided to LMAOBEEURSELF and it got some people to stick around but they leave once they see how much of a loser I am. I'm the final choice for going out (used to be, as a kid) as a replacement for someone in friend groups. Now I'm just alone.

Diagnosed aspie here. I somehow manage to work a shitty retail job and have a few friendships. Most people are super protective of me for some reason whenever shit hit's the fan.

i'm resentful that no one bothered to look into my mental health as a child, i was having a hard time every day

I got diagnosed with Asperger's when I was a kid. Is it normal to for people like us to not be as interested in social stuff or relationships? also, before i had this dream of going to other societies, i wanted to be perceived well online. so i cared more about my internet life than my real one, so perhaps my disregard for the real life caused asperger's.

sorry to tell you this but if you're aspie in japan you're fucked on two counts

1. japanese people are very xenophobic/nationalistic to begin with. they're friendly with gaijin and all that but at the end of the day they'll still see you at a completely different level as long as you're not native jap.

2. japanese people have a fucking massive stigma against mentally ill people esp. those that affect social functioning like aspergers. japan is all about working in teams, accepting ur place in the social hierarchy etc. even more so than in western countries. also they have no neetbux payouts, they really dont care if u have aspergers unlike us.

japan is also a culture where they act polite and cordially to save each other face but secretly rekt u behind ur back. they're not as straightforward as westerners, u're expected to know ur place and no one will tell you directly. if u dont know how to read social cues ur gonna have a fucking hard time in japan.

I am completely inept at social situations, obsess over specific interests for short periods, never had friends etc but im pretty sure i feel empathy (i don't even like killing spiders tbqh they're just doing their best like the rest of us) is it possible im autismo or just socially retarded?

Was diagnosed with Aspergers at 14.

I fit the bill pretty well, I can't hold conversations well if at all, hate being around people generally, hate crowds and loud noises, hate certain smells and also hate any sort of change. I get obsessed over things for periods of time and feel a little distressed when the obsession starts to fade.

Older brother here of an actual autist. My little brother is high functioning and got mainstreamed at a young age. He is going to college and had a gf. My parents like to take a lot of credit for him being so well adjusted, but I am responsible for a lot of it. Long story short find a mentor or someone you hope to embody in some ways.
