Today was my first day at work in 2 years. It was actually nice and kind of fun but seemed reaaaaally long and the thought of that 5 days a week is scary so I'm trying not to think about that part

Carpenter at a comfy little shop with a grand total of 4 employees (including me).

I really like tools and crafts and used my time as a neet to do a lot of woodworking and little projects and I finally worked up the courage to start applying as a carpenter. It's a super small business that only does little contracts at a time building cabinets and custom doors and stuff. I'm really excited and hope I don't mess it up

That sounds fantastic.

Woodworking is something I've considered trying to learn as a NEET. One of the things I want most out of life is to learn something valuable that I can get paid for without it being miserable wageslavery.

Working for a tiny company seems like the best balance to me. None of the pressure/responsibility of being self-employed, but way comfier than working for a giant corporation. Of course I've never had a job so that's just from observation.

Just get a job and/or go back to school.

It's simple. Maybe it's not easy, but it's simple.

If doing those things are too much anxiety, just try by doing things everyday on a fixed schedule that don't involved vidya and posting frogs on the internet. Something like an hour of exercise outside, playing the piano or or some other instrument or something productive. Just stay offline and change your scenery, get outside. Clean your room and throw out what you don't need or enjoy anymore.

Try woodworking anon, it's fun and pretty straight forward. Projects are fun to make and you can start relatively cheaply
