Just unscrew it.

The little cap in the center is a nut. Unscrew it off the rod while supporting the weight of the glass some with your other hand.

I have those in my house.

The little nub at the end unscrews. So twist that off while holding the glass part because once the end cap is screwed off, the glass dome will be loose. After that it should be apparent what to do.

Yeah I'm sure, where yours is metal mine is white but besides that they're identical. Try getting a pair of pliers or something, if you've never unscrewed it before it could be on there pretty tight.

I have the same light in my house. You are supposed to hold the glass bowl up, then twist the little cap off by turning it counter clockwise. It's a bit difficult at first if you've never done it before but it comes off.
