I always thought my voice was the most annoying thing in the world, but then one day back in high school, on International Poetry Day, we entered our chemistry class and the teacher announced she had a poem she would like to see read in front of the class. One of the roasties actually offered to read it, but the teacher said "No, I want anon to read it. I like your voice, and I'd like to see you use it to humour me instead of interrupting the class for once".

She doesn't know or remember probably but that small sentence changed my life pretty hard.
