There's a few workers at fast food places I know recognize me

One is a chill dude who works at Taco Bell, always remembers what sauce I get, even at absurd hours in the morning.
The other is a dude at Wendy's who always goes "what's up man?" before taking my cash.

And probably others remember me because of how absurdly messy and full of trash my car is

When I worked in a shop any customer that was slightly different an came in at the same time week in week out,got a name.

No, you probably don't have a bad name, no matter how you are. I get regulars that sort of fit description, but we don't name call them. One customer is marked as a bad customer but that is because he is very strict and annoying to deal with. Other than that, as long as you are nice to the workers they will think of you fondly.
