Just a little history, there have been lots of communes in the last 200 years , but the only ones that ever lasted had a STRONG religious backing to it that reenforced the ideals.
Something to think about.
Also communes aren't communist becuase in one way or another they all interact with the greater world and use it's surplus goods created with capitalism with trade and such. At the very least communes are protected by the country's military, founded by captilsim, and they would live in a unsafe crime ridden country without captialism supporting the rest of society
