I don't look at what has been achived under any ideology, and so should you.
The reason people got involved in communism and national socialism is because they saw the current world/ gouvernment/ economic system as flawed or not worth persuing and wanted a change or at least a path towards utopia.
And this is what interests me, how the goal, the final system would look like and wheter this goal is worth acting, is worth fighting, is worth living for.
Liberalism at least gives everyone the control and responsability for their own lives and actions.
Communism would work if EVERYONE would act altruisticly, that will never happen so communism will never work as intendet.
National socialism really has no founder. In the end you only have the german system for reference and no fundermental underlying philosophy like communism has.
But even so the german system would not be worth persuing as the end goal would only have the happieness of its people as a goal.
But happieness is nothing worth persuing out of itself. It can be a tool to motivate but not a path in itself.

I doubt the Germans would've been able to defeat the Soviets even without the US. Best case-scenario for Germany is they get deadlocked, pushed back a bit and white peace after catastrophic losses but I doubt Stalin would ever consider coming to terms with them since the Germans were out-manned and outgunned. The only way the Japs would attack the USSR is if the Germans took Moscow and then some, since they were scared to fight the Russians since getting their shit pushed in at Khalkin Gol. The Japanese would've been cut to pieces by the Red Army anyway. Their light infantry based tactics might have flown in China, but against a well-equipped force with shit tons of armor and heavy artillery like the Russians, they stood no chance, especially considering they were still bogged down in China while fighting the Commonwealth with a crippling oil deficit to boot. Maybe they could've pushed into Vladivostok and Khabarovsk if they caught the Russians off-guard, but there's no way they'd be doing any major offensives into Siberia. All in all, the Axis lost for a reason.

The USSR had a population of 170,000,000 in 1939, while the Germans had a population of 87,000,000 (with a sizable amount of that figure being Czechs from the recently occupied Czechoslovakia). They had a slight manpower advantage at the beginning of Barbarossa, but after that the Soviets started ramping up their army size. The Soviets had a roughly 2:1 advantage in manpower in 1943, and a 3:1 advantage in manpower in 1945.
