I hate the current state of the board as well, 4chan in general has become far more normie and leddit tier over the years. /r9k/ used to be a place where I could come to and read stories, laugh, and share my thoughts with fellow robots and misfits. Unfortunately it will probably continue to become more and more normie as the years go by, there have been countless ""take back /r9k/"" movements but none of them do shit.

i barely even come here anymore. it's just race baiting porn advertising and very weird people trying to convert you into a tranny. that stuff was funny for about 5 minutes and it's just annoying now. the mods don't do anything about it either, which is the worst part about it.

Just an idea to put out there, but how much would it be to buy this website? Maybe we could put a bunch of money together or convince some richfag to buy it. Then we could enforce our own rules and make this board great again. I know this is pretty farfetched but it's a fun idea to just think about.

It's like this everywhere. I haven't had regular internet since early 2016, and I'm leaving the internet again for about 5 months tomorrow when I move to a place with no internet connectivity, and I won't fucking miss it. When I saw my complete loss of internet coming around the end of 2015 I was worried, but the internet had already been terrible for a few years, now it's completely blown out of proportion.

The internet just isn't the same, I need a new secret clubhouse, and I probably won't get it online. I've been watching communities I like whither and degrade since I started using the internet, and just migrating when it rots too much, but now EVERYWHERE is too fucking populated or really niche and doesn't fit my feels.
To all those who share this feel, I hope you find your new community of losers soon, and can keep finding new places as the old ones disappear/change beyond recognition.
/r9k isn't THAT bad. Take it from a guy who's watched dozens of beloved communities go down, this place has got a ways to fall yet until you can't even squeeze a drop of the old community from it's depths.
