Panic attacks aren't the same as anxiety attacks. Panic attacks are basically a false feeling of CO2 poisoning. Humans detect suffocation by excess CO2, not lack of oxygen, and if your CO2 detector is too sensitive you can feel like you're suffocating for no reason, which is panic. You can desensitize yourself to it by regularly training breath holding/slow breathing, or by taking SSRIs which also desensitizes you to CO2 (as well as breaking your dick, so it's not an ideal solution).

But if you have anxiety attacks there's no easy solution.
