Join the club. I'm a professional DJ and I like to shoot guns as a hobby. I'm sure you can see where this ends up
>>38643941
im afraid now, I just started playing sets for family - earphones wont help?
>>38643907
i dont know, it's been dropping over the years, more and more, to the point im hearing better with the right ear than i hear with the left
>>38643881
stop wearing headphones all the time
stop listening to loud music
if you use guns make sure you aren't an idiot there
>room gets quiet
>annoying fluctuating ringing stops me from reading my ebooks
fuck this gay earth
>>38643956
>earphones
sure if you're only looking to block a bit of the loud music, if you'll blast the music both through the speakers and then through your headset too, you can say goodbye to your hearing
>Im starting to look old and saggy

Question I always wanted to ask a DJ. why don't venues go for fidelity instead of loudness?
Same here. You just have to make lifestyle adjustments.
>no more loud shit - parties, concerts, etc. EVER AGAIN.
>you can still listen to music, just have private listening sessions where the volume doesn't exceed 85db
>eat/sleep/exercise
>supplements (e.g. Magnesium, n-acetyl cysteine, n-acetyl carnitine)
>have a variety of ear plugs at different strengths so you can adapt to all manner of acoustic environments
Anything else just ask.
HOW DO I GET RID OF TITINNUS
ITS DRIVING ME INSANE
>>38643956
I'm assuming you mean earplugs? Since you should be cueing through the phones. You should be fine, it takes a lot of exposure and excessive volume to develop it. I doubt your family would be comfortable listening to it that loud

It's more expensive and harder to get fidelity than volume. A lot of venues weren't designed with acoustics in mind either like repurposed warehouses etc
>>38643956
>earplugs
they're fine with headphones
>earphones
you'll need headphones to dj my man
>>38644083
you can't. it lasts forever, if it keeps coming back at random times, it's permanent tinitus
>>38644169
Not necessarily, I've seen some excellent sets played by DJ's using standard earbuds, but it's definitely to your benefit to have a pair of quality cans
>>38644083
if you stop being around loud noises and it doesnt stop after a year then its permanent. i think there is surgery for it though now.
Being in the military fucked up my hearing and gave me a skin condition where I have to apply lotion throughout the day or else it splits from dryness. I can't hear people so they think I'm ignoring them, which leads to people not liking me. Also there's rumors that I jack off at work because I have to keep petroleum jelly with me.
>Complete quiet
>Browsing 4chan
>Get an intense ringing in my right ear out of nowhere
Well gee thanks to this thread I noticed my tinnitus again
>>38644586
blow your eardrums out.. that ought to fix it permanently
