It's been going on longer than that.
There's no reason for men and women to seek eachother out for partnership anymore.
Houses are unaffordable, kids are too frightening. Everybody works or claims benefits.
Men everywhere are coming out of single parent households with the understanding that marriage is a scam and the woman always gets her cut.

Any dating that occurs is purely for hooking up, and unless incentives are restored to the act of forming a family, it will stay that way.

Definitely, forced sex positivity and social media/dating sites has created massive sexual inequality and women now have all the power. Whereas used to they had a limited amount of men to choose from and if they slutted themselves around they'd be outcasts. Now though they have access to an unlimited amount of dick and men from all over fawning over them and they shout down anyone who doesn't approve of their promiscuity.
