Warhammer 40k has cool lore worth talking about, but it's definitely not hard sci-fi. There's a few things here and there that could be hard sci-fi like bolters and biologically engineered supersoldiers, but then there's also stuff like The Immaterium, warp drives, pretty much everything about the ships from their propulsion to their design to the distances they fight at.

Getting any long-term friends is just hell on earth for me.

I have attachment issues. Once I realize I enjoy someone's company, I contact them, incessantly, every day if I can get away with it. I constantly apologize for this behavior, but continue it anyway. I'll get irrationally mad at people who don't keep contact at the same pace I do, and I've been known to swear people out for leaving me on Read.

I tend to ignore obvious social cues of "I don't really want to talk right now"- I'm not autistic, honest. I've just known a lot of socially-awkward people who can send brief and evasive messages without actually being disinterested, so I have a bad habit of assuming these social cues are just a sign of the person being shy.

If I join a friend group or "squad," I'll inevitably be on the bottom rung, lowest priority of its members, even if I was one of the first members of said squad. I'll get mad when I'm not invited to outings, or to play video games with the rest of the squad. I'll angrily accuse people in the squad of disliking me ("if you don't WANT me to be your friend, just say it, shithead"), even if it wasn't even their fault, which CAUSES people to dislike me even more.

I constantly feel like everyone's out to get me, even my friends. If I get accidentally booted from a game, I accuse them of kicking me. If someone leaves me on Read, I accuse them of cutting me off. I take everything anyone says as sarcastic or passive-aggressive, and I'm not quiet about it.

I can't even count how many squads I've been kicked out of, how many close friends have (understandably) abandoned me, or how many potential partners I've driven away. The only people who even tolerate my presence are people just as unlikable and desperate as I am, and I can understand why my old friends cut me off, because unlikable and desperate people are insufferable.

I fucking hate myself so much.
