Are curved monitors a meme?
I'll probably buy a VR headset 5-10 years from now once they're actually good.
Right now I want to get a new monitor and im unsure if i should get a curved one.
Gsync curved are very expensive and im pretty dead set on gsync.

It won't take that long, nimrod. Hell, there's some amazing stuff even for the Gear VR.
All-in-one headsets are going to start being released by the end of this year (ie standalone VR devices which operate by themselves, no phone or computer required), so I figure those will become the standard before the 5-10 year window you speak of.

Well that's nice to hear.
Actually that makes it easier for me to disregard the curved meme. I'm just gonna go with 2k 144hz.

what
>>38486749
wait those things will run like shit if there's no decent pc hardware attached.

No, that's not true. There's prototypes and test products and they run well. It especially won't be a problem considering how much the technology will have improved by the time they become the standard. I read places like UploadVR and RoadtoVR every day, the standalones will work fine.
