Elementary Schools
>almost all women teachers
Middle Schools
>75% female teachers
High Schools
>50% female teachers
I'm pulling the numbers out of my ass, but its pretty accurate to what I've observed working in public education.
Why do you think this is?
Pic unrelated

Men are less likely to want to be around little kids, and would rather teach older kids. I guess.
Because "teaching" in elementary schools is like 50% daycare, but as kids get older schools can focus more on pure education, which appeals more to men
>High Schools
>50%
lol try 90%

I'd rather be around little kids.

Men are afraid of being accused of being pedos. Yet another great reason why age of consent laws need to be abolished and the pedo witch-hunt needs to stop.

Nah, that's not it. Men are creepy pedos who can't be trusted around young children so women are more likely to apply and be hired to teach them.
Still, I'd say about 50% of my college professors were female

First, >>38463530. Second, because a lot of people would suspect a male elementary school teacher of being a pedophile, which is a reputation that nobody wants. Same reason there's a shortage of male pediatricians.
>>38463556
im sure you would pedo asshole
>>38463424
Men in elementary or junior high almost certainly would be accused of being pedos

His motivations aside, you have to admit that it's a lot more comfy teaching small children. Highschool kids are legit fucking evil.

I work at an elementary and women seem to respond well when they hear. I am the campust computer guy though, not a teacher.
