I'll tell you how to improve 4chan. If I were a n- admin for a day.

1. Delete /pol/. Redirect all the users to 8ch. Just to piss imkampfy off.
2. If and when /pol/ starts shitting up the place, ban them.
3. Enforce a global "quality of posts" rule. There is one, but it certainly isn't enforced.
4. Use Regex to wordfilter 'nigger', 'kike', 'shitposting', and finally 'cuck'.
5. Permanent ban for obvious shitposting threads. E.g, the shit that gets posted on /tv/ every day. Ban those people forever on first sight. If they evade, range them for 3 days.
6. (Slowly) remove /mlp/, let it slowly trickle into /co/ and the rest of the site.
7. Lift robot from /r9k/, make /r9k/ an *actual* board for discussing feelings, life, and stuff in general. Don't ban females though; but enforce a rule similar to "guys stay in guy threads" on /soc/.
8. /b/ becomes a "wildcard" board in which random topics are discussed. Actual random topics. The topic is changed every month. /b/ as it stands, a "catch all" board is removed, forever. If a topic isn't quality it doesn't deserve to be posted on 4chan at all.
9. /s4s/ is removed. See above.
10. User-selectable flags across all boards.
11. IDs on all boards.
12. Open source Yotsuba engine, to allow for more contributions and increase security.
13. Lift the bans on Tor nodes. Tor users may post; but they must use accounts and have their first 5 posts moderated.
14. Split /v/ up into different boards to slow the traffic down. It's simply too fast.
15. Consumerism is now banned on /g/
16. OS-flamewar threads now warrant a six-month ban on /g/.
17. Implement an IP hashing system so that IP addresses cannot be given to authorities in the case of investigation.
18. Increase transparency by making all moderator actions public. This doesn't mean users become mod critics.

19. Hold Q&A sessions between users and moderators every now and again. Allow moderators to post with their capcode in troublesome threads. This doesn't mean moderators are anything more than users with elevated privileges. That stays the same.

I make these kinds of posts, but I never do get a response. I can only assume this is a policy, or something. I also take my suggestions to the feedback page, but I have never gotten a reply there. People say that they read it, but that's pointless. It doesn't affirm to you that your suggestions have even been considered. It doesn't show that your concerns are being taken into consideration, either.

But oh well, 'tis 4chan, and the IRC cabal will run it as they wish. As it has always been.

Many people are. I remember having long, interesting discussions about 4chan, the culture of it, and ideas for it on /qa/. But then the /int*/ /jp/ spinoff cartel showed up and shat it on to death. Then the /mlpol/ shitters came on it shit. Then the mods shat on it by freezing it. Then it was unfrozen, and even now it's being shit on the cartel. It's sad. There could be a meta board. But there probably won't be. Just a dusty, abandoned feedback page which is never updated with responses. Just a simple "We're working on it!" or "You need to do X, newfriend" in response to some newfag answer would be enough. Just something that says "We are human and we exist". The ONLY outlet that 4chan moderators expose themselves in is #4chan @ Rizon, and if IRC had some stealthy way to hide operator status, they would be anon there too. Because that's ALTERNATIVE's vision for moderators: users who have elevated privileges. And I respect that emmensly; but I think that he looks at it the wrong way. He shuts off all capcoded and official replies to anything.

Desktop threads on /g/: Removed by force without any word. To name an example.

You know what a good way to handle it would have been?

Put a sticky up, like what was done recently for /r9k/, saying that desktop threads should on /wg/. Wow, you could have saved yourself lots of shitposting if you had simply done that and deleted flame responses.

I use no other websites, retard. I use some other imageboards, sure. And I use a couple of forums. But these aren't suggestions for those places. These are suggestions that only fit into 4chan. They don't fit anywhere else. Other websites have their own issues that I submit my suggestions to. Some get implemented, others don't. And I completely respect that. The thing that I get angry about is that all of my suggestions get ignored completely by staff here. In no capacity has any of my suggestions ever been looked at, ever gotten responded to, or ever even been noticed. Several other people I know have the same issues. You would run into the same issue if you had suggestions for this website as well.
