Learn Japanese first
I am 0% Japanese and that's what I am doing
>>38197636
That'd be pretty cool, but I'm definitely not.
My parents are from different but both notoriously insular ethnic groups and so before them there was little to no mixing in either line

tfw have a Malaysian great great grandmother and could potentially be part japanese because Japanese immigrated back and forth from Malaysia

how would you know if youre 0% japanese unless youve had dna tested
Dude I'm 15% Japanese and look nothing like your average Japanese citizen. I'd be just as much an outcast there as I am here. Unless you're 100% Japanese don't even bother going. At least not to leave there a vacation might be ok

Parents are from Hyderabad, India
My ancestors have likely lived in India going back a solid two thousand years, possibly more
India is far more diverse than most non Indians might think, but I am fairly confident that all my ancestors are in some form "Indian"
It is only with the latest two generations that we've moved to the US

Definitely anon, some folks were named tali-kun.
It really sounds japanese to me.

I wouldn't care about appearance the blood would be more important imo Why don't you connect with your Japanese roots by going there, Just go there as a weeb and find your dead ancestors
>>38198101
It would be cool to visit like I said but I still think most people there care more about looking like them rather than blood
>>38197636
oh shit i am
15% azn, don't look it. have a jap middle name. i do want to speak other languages and learn them. i'm just feeling too bad and tired to do it.

You can't be absolutely sure. Very sure, sure. But not absolutely. The Japanese traveled to India here and there back in the day.

I don't think even a genetic test could actually prove it though. Even if they found some east Asian ancestry that wouldn't show it was specifically Japanese, and the more likely explanation would be that it came from a Chinese ancestor somewhere along the line.
>>38198135
of course they do care more about appearance but dont tell them you're part jap
>>38198139
Dude, they can really differentiate between Japanese and Chinese ancestry with a genetic test? I didn't know that. Really interesting.
My comment >>38198145 should be amended to reflect this new knowledge.

You CAN NOW LIVE ANIMU LIFE

I think this too, I'd just say I'm polynesian tbqh.
>>38198165
why not? thought this might make them like you a bit more? i only have kind of asian looking eyes when i'm well rested and haven't been eating shit and that doesn't happen.
>>38198168
ye, but sometimes you do get mixed asians i think there are a lot of koreans who have a lot of chinese and jap blood in them.
