I watched 1 episode I think and some of those shorts segments adult swim upload on youtube, like the carpet guy simulator and the flumbus thing; I found some of these funny but I dont like the show overall, they try way too hard to be cool, edgy and geeky, also im not a big fan of the animation/style and REALLY HATE thet stupid lip thing they do, you know the one where their lips both point down and look like a sideway number 3 when they are speechless. I absolutely loved the first season and even own it on blu-ray. I still consider season one some of the best writing on a cartoon ever. However, season 2 was a complete disappointment. While I enjoyed every episode in Season 1, I only liked about 50% in season 2. A lot of the jokes were just completely unfunny and the plots went nowhere. I hated how they kept trying to make it more "dramatic" by adding the family into their own stupid plots. The way they kept smelling their own farts in episodes like Tiny Rick, Get Schwifty, or Interdimensional Cable 2. The show devolved from fairly smart writing into trying to make catchphrases. It tried to play it off as an ironic thing but it did it so much you couldn't help but feel like they were trying to hide it. The whole 3DS Majora's Mask call out was incredibly annoying. Wublalubbadubdub makes me want to kill myself. That's just the problems with the show itself, which are numerous. There exists a whole 'nother problem with the show's fanbase.

I don't really know why this show gets so much hate here, but then again I don't go on /co/ or reddit so I've never seen the infamous fanbase that everyone complains about.

I thought the show was pretty good. Was expecting lol random adventure time stuff but got pretty smartly written Futurama-esque sci fi comedy (except for those awful episodes where they watch TV.)

Don't care much for catchphrases though, so wubbalabadubdub is kinda lame in my eyes, but it's hardly a big enough component of the show to warrant complaining about.

Because the best depressed characters I've seen written aren't even really characters, they're just people venting about their problems and thoughts whilst being as blunt and honest about it as possible through their respective art form. No it doesn't, it suffers from the exact same problems as Rick and Morty, while Bojack isn't a mary sue of any sort he still unrealistically moronic and constantly alienates himself by sticking his foot in his mouth and doing shit no regular person would ever do. None of the characters feel real and they're always pulling the same shit Bojack does, but the main biggest problem with R&M and Bojack is the constant shifts in tone. Both have this trite surface level family guy humor 90% of the time but then one of the characters starts to monologue about how meaningless life is and faggots like you stand up and clap. It has the exact same problems as R&M only instead it's even less relocatable and even more jarring when the tone shifts into sad mode.
