I don't see a problem. Your co-workers may be keeping their distance from you because they see you as being in a superior role. Your boss obviously respects you. Nobody in the office would say you're lazy, not doing your job, etc.
You're respected as a hard worker who doesn't let emotions get in the way of the job. You can go places if your boss perceives you as having that attitude, anon.
