It didn't affect me at all, I just remember it sometimes and cringe hardcore from it.

This exact thing happened to me. My dad didn't believe I was searching last year (24 year old NEET) so he drove me around and followed me in. Every single employee at every single store had to explain that the process was through the parent company's online applications page and that in store applications didn't exist. He was fucking furious on the drive home lmao.
