I will give away some of my wisdom, free of charge. Try to keep from having a best friend, as that means you believe they can offer you things no one else can. Treat everyone as if they are your best friend. It might not always be reciprocated, but the father will remember.

You may have to find your own meaning in life. It could be something as small as a good book and a cup of coffee. Travel, talk to random people on the street, do a good job at your work. Save up for college.
