I used to have the most enormous folder of demotivational posters. I remember torrenting one that was several gigs in size, and flipped through the pictures in class.

That was actually how I found 4chan, lots of mentions of /b/ and how it was filled with scum and vermin and horrible people. Funny to think about in hindsight.

Boxxy used to be a thing, right. I had actually forgotten.

I think that was about the time I started browsing 4chan. Boxxy was peaking, Advice Dog was morfing into the more general trend of advice animals through courage wolf / insanity wolf / depression dog, and there was this enormously stupid meme I think called "Fsjal". I had a absolutely huge folder of fsjals, some I even made myself. Probably gone by now.

I used to be obsessed with stereoscopic images, and tried to make some myself also. I remember there being threads where people posted innocent pics in /b/, and I loved it. There were also a few with "stereoscopic porn", but that was pretty rare.

Nowadays there's always a VR-porn thread in /gif/. The future truly is now.

There were also a bunch of threads where people would draw new faces on cartoon characters, starting out with nothing more than their silhouette. So far I only found my own contribution to a thread about redrawing Moes face, from the Simpsons, but I knew there were a lot more.

Rage comics, demotivational posters and advice dog type of images were always terrible and unfunny, even back in 2005 in my opinion. Rage comics were also juvenile in a bad way, full of shitty OC where people just started reposting the same face over and over instead of creating anything new. Sure, people liked to Shoop da whoop everywhere, but at least they were creative and actually redrew the image.

Only if you could push yourself really hard. You would need to jump so that you reached a speed in the opposite direction equal to the one you were falling.

Without going into details of the physics, for this to work you would have to be able to jump as high as the distance you were falling for this to work. So unless you can jump up to the 15th floor of a building, you would die.

Also, you would need to "jump off" something much heavier (having more momentum) than a common chair.

Yeah man, but not greatly, you have to push really hard against the sides as you fall. it's the difference between shattered legs and hip or a shattered spine and burst organs.

Once you see it you won't be able to unsee it, most modern buildings are actually not 180 degrees more like 170-175 or so.
