Not that I'm aware of. I actually met the guy who started Saxbys at some bullshit "How to be succesful" talk he gave. Apparently he's a millionaire now from his coffeeshops but I couldn't say for sure. I will say they have some pretty great coffee though, and they're the only place that seems to have the temperature down. It's always right at the threshold of heat to where it stays warm for the whole time you're drinking but isn't too hot to drink when they give it to you.

OP here. It is literally the easiest job I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have probably 6 hours of downtime a night. As long as you can be friendly to the few guests you do see it's a breeze.

The hotel I work at is on a college campus and beyond that I'm right next door to a police station. Like we literally share a wall. Also have mace and an emergency buzzer so it's pretty much as safe as can be.

Yeah my brother went to IUP and I visited him a few times and we went out to Pittsburgh occasionally. Also had an uncle living in Pittsburgh. Personally that's where I want to live (or more live like 20-45 minutes outside the city). I want a big city nearby, but not this big and I don't actually want to live in the big city. Same; I've got an office IT job, and I make $15 an hour ($450 a week after taxes) working for maybe 2 hours total out of my 8 hour shift, just browsing the internet and chatting over discord and such the rest of the time.

Nobody seems to give a shit that I have an iPad at my desk, nor do they give a shit that I'm using it more than the work laptop.

The work itself is super easy shit, just clicking buttons and entering ID numbers here and there.

Feels good man.

I wait to smoke the right stuff til I get off work. Well I did get high twice at work but I try not to make a habit of it.
But we have Jehovahs Witnesses staying with us, filling 21 of our 28 rooms, about 100 people total. They are by far the rudest most entitled guests I've had in my 7 months working here. Bitching that we don't have free parking or that we only have 3 mini fridges (which they were told when they booked literally 9 months ago) etc etc etc. My strategy is to just grin and bear it. Whatever they say isn't going to insult me and I'll grin and half chuckle to myself which makes them madder which just makes me happier. Like if people are nice ill comp their parking, give them prices way cheaper than I should, let them bring in pets for free, etc. I like to give rude people really bad directions. My hotel is in a nice area but a few blocks north turns ghetto very fast. I'll give them directions to this dump park that's about 6 blocks away and always full of drug heads. If they complain I'll act like they must have misheard my directions. 10/10 for laughs every time
