Urusei Yatsura, second movie, done in 1984.

Done by the guy who later did Ghost in the shell, it's a story very different from the usual Urusei Yatsura story, way less humor but more depthness.

I'd add that Roujin Z is a pretty underrated movie. It's a bit like a more mature, satirical Akira.

Definitely check out Kon's shit though. Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Paprika are great.

Vampire Hunter D was good too.

I'd also recommend Area 88, very old-school, it was in mini-series form iirc.

Fanservice is nowhere near as common as people like to claim it is, and I don't see people objecting to all the sex and nudity in American shows and movies so I don't know why anime is always getting flak for content that is much more tame. It's like complaining about the violence in Jin-Roh and then happily watching Saw. Fanservice is also far less common in movies than it is in TV shows.
