Cut out alcohol and caffeine, if you're taking either. Both will mess up your sleep schedule.
Make your room as dark as possible before you go to bed.
Etc., etc. How's your sleep hygiene in general?
you are not suppose to take it every single night ya dummy. Just dont take it for a while and then take one when you need it.
studies have shown that higher doses just make you restless, the golden spot is between 1-3mg

What would happen if you took it in the morning?

Sleep hygiene
What do you mean
So much misinformation in this thread already. You can take melatonin every day if you follow proper drug scheduling, and taking too much doesn't make you restless.
However, taking too much has literally no other effect than increasing your tolerance faster, and makes you 0% more sleepy. This leads to above misconception.
1-3mg cited above is actually also too much (yes, I know this is what your doctor recommended. It's based on obsolete research.) Newest studies on melatonin suggests that a patient with as little as 200mg daily intake receives near full potential effect.
To account for metabolism, genetics and body weight etc you could opt for a little higher than that as it's not damaging. So, OP, stick with 300mg. It will take a while to get your tolerance down from your Ameritard "Hurr durr overdosing on pills is the murican freedom way my doctor is dum dum" -ways, but you'll get there soon enough.
Other than that, don't intake any stimulant drug (including coffee) for four hours before bedtime, and avoid overconsumption in general. Also sleep in a dark room as mentioned, and avoid looking at a backlit screen for at least 30 minutes before sleep.
Masturbate (analogue fapping only, no computer aid) and swallow your cum for gains as you're about to go to sleep, also helps you relax, and stop being an anxious hypochondriac faggot who cannot sleep because you want to an hero. Problem solved.
