Its how you are raised. Being Italian, I grew up with glasses of wine atleast once a week at dinner. It's just something you do. Now that I'm 18, mind you I live in the states, I try other types of alcohol for sheer curiosity. I'm used to the bitterness and have grown a tolerance making me a monster at parties even when I'm not usually trying to do anything but enjoy a few craft beers. Drinking usually comes down to peer pressure when it comes to normies. I was just brought up with it.

Because if it;s the former then that's a pretty silly complaint, you can easily find alcohol that tastes like soft drinks if that's what you want.
