It's interesting how this Wojak/Pepe dynamic oftentimes manifests in real life, where one fiend is the outgoing, provocative, confident more unhinged one and the other is the more responsible, meek, "feelier" one. I actually had a Pepe friend since elementary school, where this dynamic fit very well. Interestingly enough I have another friend, who's the Wojak in our friendship and I'm the Pepe.

Wojak is a standard robot. There's nothing truly too wrong about him, he's just in a constant cycle of something bad happening, depression, recovery, acceptance, then another thing happening. It happens so much that he's dead to it. That's why it seems that so many pictures of him have something bad happening but him not reacting to it.

Pepe is the "ideal" robot. In the exact same situation situation as wojak but attentive enough to at least be happy. He realizes he's in a pile of shit and he too is dead to it, but he at least knows how to not wallow in his sorrow. Sadly pepe is malevolent and vengeful. He gets over his problems by having convinced himself normalness is out of reach so he doesn't even try.

Finally, they're both two sides to the robot coin. Wojak is a robot who has to endure normal life. He cares somewhat about his image and tries to preserve it. Pepe is a comfy, safe robot. He is us at home where no one sees. I don't care how disgusting my house is or how weird the things I read at night to stain a rag once again; no one's ever going to care I may as well live how I want to.
