My mom keeps threatening me with homelessness. She knows I can't get a job and I don't have any friends I can rely on, so if I do go homeless, I'm truly fucked. And she uses this to her advantage.

I had a mini-vacation to North Carolina to look at apartments for grad school and visit my cousins. Surprisingly, everyone was very nice to me. They said I could visit them anytime once I get settled, since we will be living in the duke-UNC area, which is nice. Seeing them with their kids made me feel very weird. Their families seem so healthy, their kids are good at sports and academically successful. They have nice conversations at meals. Their houses are filled with pictures of the family, they have dogs, a white picket fence, etc. They all seem so much happier than I was as a kid.

Usually get rejected, pushed to the outer and shunned by my friends, my own fault (social anxiety) but I decided (with the help of meds) to say fuck it and be a little more outgoing tonight and it worked!!
