I can sympathize with your points. I tend to receive similar messages from others should I extend myself. I tend to have to be the one to attempt to maintain a conversation, and that doesn't last for more than a few messages.

The one-word 1331-speak responses always often fall into ghosting.

I met up with someone once from one of the old r9k Zeemaps threads 1.5 years ago, and it was like that but in real life.

I have considered making a plot myself, but I don't think I'd mix well with the closest people who have listed in areas around mine (20+ minutes minimum). I'm also insecure with my sexuality, and don't want to bring it up, but don't want to lie to anyone, especially in the middle of a bunch of blues everywhere.

I've actually had a similar issue myself, I don't even know where I'd begin to figure any of it out. I'm terrified of disappointing people so if I end up realizing I'm not what I think I am when around someone else I feel like I'd panic on the spot. I'm also afraid of receiving any intimacy because I have so much self-hate I'd think they'd be mocking me or trying to take advantage of me in some way.

I do the same. I have been trying to improve on it by treating my connections as something secondary or passive, but deep down, it does bother me greatly.

Refer to my points about being boring above. You've removed yourself from being contactable through means of e-mail (Zeemaps) and pushed away people trying to talk to you. You say you're not good enough because you don't believe in and/or like yourself, so you won't give anyone a chance to show they like you.

I have become very disappointed and hurt with socialization too. I am terrified of potential results and outcomes from socialization, but I am willing to tell you that, and why. In that way, hopefully you, and people like you can see that I can bring value to their lives, and they can to, just by being an interested, engaged friend.

It isn't so simple, but in theory, that is what I'd like.
