Because I don't have a pentium 3 in my main computer.
Also just about any application in puppy can be installed in any other GNU/Linux distribution.

Used it for half a year. Hated many limitations it gave me. Also there are no programs for it anymore, just some old .pet builds. It was quite good for Firefox /Libre Office stuff. However running stuff like steam was impossible here. Also there were many little things missing that slowed down the work. The only good thing here is portability.
Also, I think it could be pretty good for emulators
