The best part is when they dont get over you so you keep feeding them slivers of hope only to shut them down again.

For example one time this cute blonde that i used to work with was apparently crushing on me. So i asked if she wanted to hang out with me and a friend to which she accepted.

she brought a friend who was less cute than her, but i flirted and paid attention to her friend.

By the end of the night she was hardly saying a word.

At work she would always do autistic things to get me to try to help her. And i often would just refer her to someone else and say i was busy.

It's more sidious. You are overtly telling them you're not interested. So there is no hope in them attempting to appeal to you.

I like it to hurt them on a more personal level.

Because you don't really know the woman whos holding the door for you.

You want to hurt them? Get them invested. Make them want you on their side.

And then when they think you like them, you "gently" resist.

By doing this, you are showing your best qualities whilst also hurting her.
