My project is on the relationship between the West and Russia after the break-up of the USSR. 15 people have been sent back in time for this one project. We have handlers that stop us doing stupid shit. We are always deployed to at least a different continent as our past-self. Our past self is tracked and prevented if they somehow try and communicate with us in any way.

I actually kind of like it. It's nostalgic. Having headphones instead of implants, etc etc.

Basic chores are so much fucking easier in 2038. For example, we have fully automated kitchens that can make meals for you with pretty much zero input, and house cleaning robots (a bit like Roombas) that are much much more thorough and can clean the entire house to amazing standard. So I miss the ease of everything in 2038.
