As a NEET, you'd probably want to target the most affordable cities. Memphis, Birmingham, Indianapolis, Omaha all usually make the list.
Vermont or rural Upstate New York
Alabama desu

This but not shitty ones like Memphis. You want a place that's cheap because it's boring, not criminal. So think Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, etc.

You're going to want a place with a lot of amenities. Places with technology services like Uber/Lyft, Amazon Prime Now, Postmates/Doordash/UberEATS, etc. Especially a place with good broadband infrastructure.
Hard to find these in distant suburbs and rural communities. There are many affordable cities to live in.

I live in Memphis, as long as you check where the actual house/apartment is you're good, the crime stays contained to specific neighborhoods and streets. My rent is $400 a month for a half duplex in a safe area. Also we have the best food.
