Only had one. At the only job I ever had. The manager fucked everything up during a rush and I flipped out

I say to myself that a demon is a source of anxiety in me and I have to fight it and that I've already won him before so he has no power over me. I'm not even religious.

I used to get them all the time back when I drank

kinda seems like you guys are getting upset, actually?
>>37137119
I didn't get fired even though I shouted at my manager. Only lost a weeks worth of hours which meant I started to struggle to pay bills
>>37137635
Fuck. I'd just finished drinking and bam. An hour later I got a panic attack. Who else #rektnervoussystem
I read a paper saying that genuine panic attacks (as opposed to just severe anxiety) are caused by false detection of suffocation. I used to get then a long time ago, and I stopped them by doing very slow breathing ever day. This matches the theory, because it would have made me less sensitive to CO2.

This is true. I've stopped every single panic attack with slow breathing.
When under the attack I sometimes forget how slowly and shallowly I normally breathe, so I keep reminding myself to take no more than 10 breaths per minute.
i'd never had a panic attack but i think i had one last night
thought hit me and i was immediately hyperventilating and super anxious
Does anyone else get panic attacks out of nowhere? I've had "panic" attacks with a heart rate of 60 for no particular reason. They just hit me.
I've only two one real panic attacks where I was worried shitless and that triggered them. The rest were all out of nowhere. Just a feeling that I can't catch my breath and that something bad's going to happen, like I'm doomed.
