How do i start anime again.

Haven't found anything fun to watch in a while and it's been ages since i have watched moe stuff.

Find it next to impossible to watch a full season of anime, I suppose I "outgrew it" for lack of a better term, and that's not to put any of you down though it feels like a genuine struggle to watch a series through. Last anime I fully watched was Serial Experiments Lain which was redoubtable to say the least, very much enjoyed it, tried to watch Elfen Lied though couldn't find any subbed episodes past episode 5 so dropped it, I have no intention of visiting crummy websites nor viewing the English dub which is terrible at best.

Feel free to recommend anything I can watch once I've gotten rid of my large workload. Lots of anime I never finished including; Gabriel DropOut, Welcome to the NHK and Yuyushiki though to be honest they bored me stiff, too much wish fulfillment and petty "humour", there's no realism, no sense of pessimism and when it is available only in its most vile, cringe-inducing format.

For the first time in about 7 years I restarted with the anime, with neon genesis evangelion.

I know there are other films, maybe another series? And saw yesterday what looked like proper porn of it, though it didn't really arouse me for obvious reasons.

I sincerely believe Asuka is best girl. Initially she pissed me off and Rei was my favourite, and I wanted to kick the shit out of Shinji. Though I might only like Asuka best because like her, I deflect my self hatred onto everyone else and despise weakness.

So FT is popular to plebs and normies, whose opinion doesn't matter. It is still a commercial succes (but declining) but has not been a critical succes for a long time.

I get you, I liked the whole idea of it essentially being a survival show. Kinda reminds me of the beginning of LOST and how that became weird and sci-fi after one season (and became trash).

But aot is still worth watching. The story had to evolve at some point, or it would just become essentially the Walking Dead but with titans, as they just survive and get eaten each episode for the whole show. But it isn't really a standard shonen, the odds keep swinging between humans and titans but it actually gets even more hopeless towards the end and into season 2.
