>Manager didn't give me a schedule for the next week

u not working next week relax.
Welcome to the NEET life! Enjoy your stay, because chances are you're never leaving.

I know that feel. Happened when I was still in probation. To make it matters worse, there was evidence that they never really wanted me in the first place and I was a temporary replacement for someone else.
For all the jobs I took I quit before things went too far off the rails.
>>37002455
What did you get probation for?
>>37002473
Usually there is a 90 day probation when you start a job.

Probation when starting a job, not because I was criminal.
Point is, it was the first and only job that I didn't quit and wasn't explicitly temporary. I'll share the greentext again for those that missed the wagecuck thread.
> Work at chain supermarket
> Wanted to be night stocker
> Explained that I worked three months at another supermarket, but recruiter still started me at $8/hour
> Wasn't the store I wanted, so I had no idea where everything was
> One day of hands-on training, that was it
> Was told one of the other night stockers was injured, so everyone was working to cover it
> 40 hour work week
> Employer told me to come in an hour later so the breaks were combined into one 30-minute paid break with no other breaks
> Could listen to music and be alone, felt like it was the comfy job I could do well at and get /fit/ at
> Seemed like good money at the time as I had gotten out of college and didn't have a lot of work experience
> Had this grand plan that this could serve as a base because I wanted to work in their food manufacturing plants
> Find out you had ridiculously fast for 8 hours straight and everyone else already had long figured out the store layout and where everything was because the computer training didn't tell you shit
> No extra time to work, the system doesn't let you clock in
> Still expected to help customers
> One day bleach spilled on my uniform, they didn't even want to help replace the black pants, which were mine
> Papercuts all the time from opening boxes, which the bleach irritated
> Put up with whole ordeal for a few weeks anyway
> Find out that the injured guy is back on the job and my hours are gone
> Get laid off within three weeks
> Find out later the produce department had taken a liking to me and wanted me to interview there but they got me out of the company.

holy shit you are pathetic lol
>>37001584
Now you can make ironic NEET threads pretending your life isn't pathetic.

I know this feel, brother. It's a shame because I really like this job too. What a shame, not just losing the job but the anxiety of not knowing for sure.

>holy shit you are pathetic lol
Perhaps.
Moral of the story is that it doesn't matter what your intentions are, if your workplace wants to screw you over, they WILL screw you over.
>>37004145
You were likely just a bad employee that they didn't feel was competent enough to do the job.
>>37004225
I already explained I had no idea where everything was and training was poor. The "temporary replacement" thing always bothered me and can't be overlooked, because as soon he reappeared my hours were gone.
>>37003566
I've been on your managers side of that conversation. It's embarassing and tough for them too.
>>37004346
I started a grocery job in a kitchen and got next to no training. Just picked up things as I worked and coworkers complemented me for how hard I worked. I think you used being unfamiliar with the layout as an excuse to not perform the job well.
Temporary means temporary, so you shouldn't have been surprised. I was hired knowing my position is temp as well.
>>37001584
happened to me once, but it was just a mistake. I bet your pathetic ass didn't even ask did you?
>>37004437
They didn't say it was temporary, that was my theory.
The exact circumstances surrounding that job were a little more complicated than the greentext would suggest. Even in the truest greentexts, they don't tell all the details.
