As of last week I've started seeing a therapist. She said verbatim to my mother "I 100% recommend that he takes medication for depression". Mom was fine with it dad got super pissed because he "doesn't believe in pills".

It felt good to get some things off my chest and to talk to a professional. She gave me pretty generic advice but I think it helped. Like you said though, it isn't cheap. I've only been there twice so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Like I said dad got pissed that she reccommended pills so we didn't get any. I have gotten xanax in the past from one of my friends and it definitely calmed my anxiety.
