Only time that happened was in senior year of high school. I slept late and got up at around 9:30 when school starts at 7:00. I'm the one who got my brother up as well so he was late too.
We didn't want or dad finding out, so we snuck out of the house and walked around 4 miles to school, getting some Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Both of us showed up at around 11:00 when it was my lunch period. Surprisingly, the school never called my parents about it.
My brother mentioned it to my dad about a week later and he told is that if he told him back then, we wouldn't have gotten in trouble and we could've taken the car school.

I only got through high school because I was the top student. The teachers blatantly neglected rules and let me pass courses I had way too little attendance on, as well as allowed me to independently study more courses than anyone should be allowed to.
High school was a fucking joke. I wish there was some gifted student program or some shit so I could've actually taken advantage of my talents and maybe learned to study, instead of learning how to get praised for half-assing everything.

She had high 90s in nearly all her classes since she turned in work and would stay for the tests, but would leave the school most days after first period to hang out with friends. That stopped happening though after one of the workers in her school called up her mom and she got her ass beat.
My mom would be the only person I know who would have a smart but lazy personality, since she acts like that quite a bit, which somewhat pisses me off.

No. I was always seen as that stereotypical straight-A nerd from first grade to my senior year in high school.

I lost credit 3 times due to not showing up enough in high school. One time in particular I had a 98 in physics while still losing credit for not being there. How do I get a 98 while not being there? The class was a ezpz.

In fact, I was unable to get a drivers license when I was 16 because the school refused to give me any sort of proof of enrollment because I didn't show up enough. I had to wait until I got out of highschool to get my license.

Public schools are just daycare centers. The fact that I could pass all of my classes and be punished for not taking up classroom resources shows that. Get rid of them, they're absurdly inefficient, and I personally believe they do far more harm towards the education of the general public than good.

To get into the school when it wasn't the regular school hours time (like the bus just dropped you off) you had to go into a vestibule, show your ID to the camera, and wait for authorization and a metal detector

Yeeep. A lot of the time. But mainly during school events or pointless classes.
Me and 3 friends would walk to a friends house for lunch, when it was time to head back. We would be far too lazy to walk back. (10 minute walk) so we would just stay at his house and watch movies and play vidya.

Our school had a gay automated call system saying we missed class, we would just answer it before parents could.

I skipped a lot, some of the time I'd just chill in the library but usually I'd just walk out the front door and go home. There was a program where you could take a half day to work at a job toward credits, so if anyone hassled me (rarely) I'd just tell them I was doing that. I literally did this about 4 out of 5 school days a week.

I only ever got caught once, but the principal didn't do anything since I had no prior infractions.

I nearly failed but I still got a full ride to a state university because of my ACT score. Wish I'd talked to girls though.

In high school I was in the AV club because I was that kind of nerd. so there were always a couple of teachers who'd write me notes to get out of class whenever I had "important work" to do. I abused the shit out of that.

then when it came time to get into college, my grades were so shit that I couldn't get into good schools so I ended up somewhere I was miserable.

I got grade 10 level English/Maths / some certs in Business and Hospitality at vocational tertiary courses and did some youth programs over the years. Only reason to get my grade 12 is for uni, I've been thinking about it. I want to be able to hold down a job first before I commit to anything. Like I don't even have my drivers license yet.

I took a few days off each week thanks to bullying. Waking up each morning filled my stomach with the worst feeling of anxiety and dread. Every time my mum told me I could go back to bed it immediately alleviated those feelings and I practically got high off the relief so I made it a habit. I thought my parents were awesome at the time but I wish they were a bit less lenient because I'm sure this stunted my social growth.
