Don't want to know how smart I actually am
This is probably why I've never done anything worthwhile in my life guys

just do it, and stop thinking about wasted oppurtunities, be a yes man

I did one of those "progressive matrices" tests that took me like an hour and finally got my iq of 130. Intelligent, but not uncommonly so. I guess if I was smarter, I would have decided earlier that the test wasn't worth my time.

Can you explain how do IQ tests objectively measure intelligence?
>>36855131
They used to be great before the years of smoking weed in complete social isolation, the seizures and the coma. I know they're much worse now. I hope it will come back to me. I've pretty much quit the weed and I plan to work on being more social and exercising more.

>Choose the symbol that completes this pattern
>Start with very simple patters that normal people can easily find
>They get progressively more complicated and subtle
>Lots of people take the test
>Depending on how far you get, you get a place on the bell curve that correlates to an iq score.
>If you score 1 standard deviation above average, you get whatever iq score is 1 SD above average
>If you finish the test but get every question wrong, you get an iq score of like 80 because they give you some credit for understanding the instructions.
That's pretty much it. It measures the autistic kind of intelligence. Doesn't do anything to measure decision making skills.
I think I accidentally entered synonyms for one of the antonym parts to as I wasn't paying attention two much.

I got a legitimate 120. 91st percentile
>>36856122
OP here, I didn't Google any. Language has always been my strong suit; classmates used to use me as a human thesaurus.
>>36855131
106 compared to 128 on the real test I took. I thouight I was better at language stuff but it may just be because im drunk
>>36855786
>looking up the definitions of words

I got 131 legitimately and I know for a fact that you didnt get that score after doing the entire antonyms page wrong (there were two)

and yeah, people read dictionaries for fun. My friend has an etymological dictionary that we bust out whenever we're unsure about a phoneme or something. Just the definitions aren't enough; you have to understand the etymology and the entire development of thought that goes into a word to really grasp the nuances of it. A background in Greek or Latin helps, too.
