What's the most Robot college major?
>>36816383
>Philosophy
Abstract deep thought without a direct real-life-application. Also autists and people with ocd are good with the highly analytical and logic stuff.
Computer Science is a contender
>>36816383
>Also autists and people with ocd are good with the highly analytical and logic stuff.
I'm not sure if I'd rather you say that you have OCD because you always double check for your keys or whatever, or this.
>>36816383
I studied maths at uni, surprisingly, atleast here in the UK, most maths undergraduates are nerdy chads (and even a few Staceys) to nerdy normies.
According to my friends who all went to do computer science, their class is a cesspit of autism, on top of that the most autistic person I've ever met is doing computer science at uni.
>>36816383
Nursing. I work with qt.314 all day. Never really talk to any of them. There's hundreds in my degreee. Pretty much the only white guy there. Still no traction. Spend all day in my room alone, no friends.
>>36817122
Nah, I meant it more in a way that unsound arguments make me physically unpleasant.
>>36817154
>>36817087
>>36816383
This is scary. I wanted to do CS and be away from autists honestly.
>>36817154
CS is full of normies are you even kidding me. there's a few nerds and they all orbit the girls but that's it.
>>36817282
my CS class is composed of 50% normies 35% nerds and 15% girls and there is only 1 slut of them. Most of them are retarded but they try to pass the class so its nice. even most of the nerds are having a hard time whereas there only 2-4 people who are truly intelligent which i admire.
>>36817199
why do most girls go nursing? I took a class with them and I was the only male there.
>>36817225
If you're going into STEM, your class mates will either be robots, fedoras, or redditors who are into geek culture.
>>36817199
Clinical lab sciences
> qt3.14 nurses bring me specimens all night, I do god knows what with them
> isolate myself in lab from rest of hospital
> literally surrounded by jars of poopoo and peepee
> co workers all over 70 years old, tell me I should date a pretty nurse
> co workers keep dropping dead on a lab bench ensuring I can't be fired due to rarity of lab techs
Honestly it's not a bad line of work
Dropping out and living as a NEET
>>36816383
Just become a mathfag. It's like being a CS fag except your classmates won't be 75% autistic or aspie.
>>36816383
General Studies lol
>>36819350
What can you even do with a math degree though?
>>36819667
You can be a code monkey or a teacher
Or go to gradschool.
>>36818055
Getting a degree in anime from the University of Nyaa.se.
>>36817072
This. Specially if you go deep into nihilism/antihumanistc stuff
at this point the entire idea of college is a normie thing, the days of the stem autist are long gone. i do astrophysics and probably around half my class is girls, probably like only 2/3 actual autists in a group of around hundred (no i am not counting myself here)
>>36817795
computer science is the worst for this though
it will be 99% autistic guys and 1 "so random XD" girl with 30 beta oribters around at one time
>>36819667
almost anything
I'm an upcoming maths grad at a decent uni and most grad programs fall over themselves backwards to take up the maths grads
its a degree to show how smart you are, most jobs won't be using much degree work anyway
>>36819960
No. It's about half autists, 25% norrmies in it for the money, 10% useless women and their 10% coding lapdogs, and 5% competent women
>>36819990
OK but gimme some examples of actual jobs you could get. What are the real world uses. Like name me your top 3 ideal jobs or something please.
>>36819350
>300k starting salary
>>36819927
>astrophysics
That's because you did a meme major.
>>36819927
this
you can't even dodge the roasties nowadays
>>36820030
I'm working in data analytics, could move into data science with a few work years experience
rejected but interviewed for various banking jobs like operations
Really every business grad scheme likes math grads, pick a random desk job in a large company and you can probably do it
>>36820082
the major isn't the problem, i enjoy what im doing and i always intended to go into academia. where exactly is the meme?
>>36820144
i mean your major is 100% a meme and has no real jobs at the end of it directly related.
w0w looking at the stars dude bro sounds awesome.
Cop-out for people who couldn't handle the maths in core physics
>>36820110
salary? per year i mean
>>36820248
starting on under 35000 pounds would be unusual for a maths student in London
If you land one of the jobs at like Goldmans you could see 60k
>prospective wagecucks/CS dumbasses getting meme'd into studying maths
this isn't going to end well
>>36820201
like i said man i always intended to go into academia so it's not really an issue. there's just as much math as straight physics, in fact most of my modules this year were with the math department (gen rel, cosmology and astro fluid dynamics), it really doesn't seem like you know what you're talking about
>>36820295
yeah I should add to all the other stuff I'm saying
Maths is seen as the hardest subject to show you are smart because it is hard
Most people detest it by second year, my third year I chose as many stats and computing modules as possible to escape the pure stuff
>>36820333
>>36820295
>>36820286
This happens every degree thread.
Someone says x is great and another says x is a meme.
Wtf am i supposed to believe???
>>36820367
what is hard to understand about my point here
maths is the strongest degree once you finish it
it will be hell to do that
>>36820384
You never said its the strongest.
Also thats highly open to debate isnt it?
How is it better than an engineering degree for example?
>>36820030
Astronaut
FBI agent
Fighter pilot
>>36820434
because it is more difficult...
no one is saying engineering is anywhere near to a soft subject but nothing really compares to maths
>>36820488
nigger i dont care about the difficulty. Im talking job prospects, salary, job security and shit like that. Why do you keep pushing how difficult it is as if that matters 1 bit. I appreciate your help but let it go and stop making us stroke your ego.
>>36820529
because being seen as difficult = shows you are smart
getting a degree is 99% about having a bit of paper saying you arn't completely stupid rather than relevant to whatever job you are doing
maths does this best
>>36817072
It can be the most red pilled major though.
>>36819927
that's why you swerve the whole uni thing and spare yourself of a 80,000 pound (fucking ASCII) debt
>>36820475
>FBI agent
The most frequently recruited college graduates for the FBI are accounting majors
>>36820475
>Fighter pilot
you need a degree in maths to become a fighter pilot? that seems unlikely.
>>36820708
"need"
you don't need a maths degree for almost any job, but almost any job can be got with one
>>36820078
>300k starting salary
corporate executive?
>>36816383
>What's the most Robot college major?
Geology
How did nobody mention this yet
Women are incapable of studying it
It's interesting
It has a lot of career options
>>36820201
You sound like a first year. Once you get past the intro to planets and telescopes it gets a lot more math heavy
>>36816383
master's in gender studies because GS majors are unapproachable faggots just like robots
>>36820529
if you want job security get an engineering degree, if you're going to specialize (and reside in the US) go into weapon systems, the colossal military spending in the US means it can support a huge number of jobs.
Don't think I saw a single girl at any of my Statistics classes
>>36820745
It's a /sci/ meme originopio
>>36820946
Insufficient sample size :^)
I'm a culinary grad
Most of my former classmates no longer work in this field.
>>36816383
Pure math
>>36821451
>I'm a culinary grad
>Most of my former classmates no longer work in this field.
That's a woman's major
The people who are serious about getting into food science major in biochem or nutrisci
>>36821490
>That's a woman's major
Majority of kitchen workers are men.
I'm not interested in food science or anything like that. I have ambitions beyond designing new microwave dinners.
>>36821549
Dude you don't need to go to school to work in a kitchen
I don't know why you seem to be proud of that
>>36821591
Because it's a good way to get a head start and actually know what you're doing.
Go back to your stem circlejerk with your autism
I'd say law.
I haven't seen a lawyer with a social life. They are all lost in their own "careers", papers and bureaucracy. They literally have no free time to spend doing anything else, but litigation.
Meanwhile, other degrees might seem autistic or whatever, but they still offer plenty of social interaction.
