I'm scared I'm next.

My doc just told me a couple months ago that I'm prediabetic and it scared me for the first couple of weeks but I'm back to eating garbage again.

What are your height/weight stats op? How long have you been eating poorly for you to become diabetic? I'm concerned that my time is coming

Not OP but I'm 6'0 and 380lbs and just got told I'm prediabetic. It runs on my dad's side but no one on my mom's side has it. I've been in the 300s since I was 16 and I'm turning 26 this month so I should've got it a long time ago. I know guys smaller than me that got it right out of high school. Also depends on race. I'm hispanic so my chances aren't good I'll prob get it before my 30s.

I'm type 1 have to wear an insulin pump

This is scary, I eat so much garbage and am a bit fat.
I wish I didn't have to live with my parents, so I could control my own food.

did you get prescribed anything? i got diagnosed as prediabetic and was prescribed metformin and a year later all my blood sugar levels and everything are fine (and i've been eating the same shit), it's a life saver.

Type 1 here as well. We get lumped in w the fatties all the time - drives me crazy.
