I find it useful being able to google shit while I'm out. Looking up product reviews while in a store is an example of something I often use my phone for.

I used to hate phones. I keep them on silent mode because the sounds they make scare me. I hate speaking to them and I hate sending text messages. But I have to have one, everyone has to. I still do hate phones desu, but now I dont have to carry mp3 player with me, have access to internet and sometimes even read from one if no books are available, so at least that bundle of anxiety has some use now.

They're useful for robots since you can avoid social contact by being on your phone all the time. But if you're a full on hikikomori then you only need a dumb phone to get text message verifications and such. I didn't touch my phone in months when I was a NEET.

Anyways yeah smart phones are great. They're cameras, web browsers, video game emulators, you can watch porn while you're in bed or on the toilet, and so much more.
