The female customer relations worker at my job quit, so lately I've had to go to the front desk to take customer payments (I usually only work in the back on the computers) until a replacement is hired. When I first started the job, I did do some customer work, but people kept mistaking me for a kid visiting the workplace so eventually I got put in the back. So now 6 years later, I have to go back to the front again. First customer to see me asks where all the workers are, I say I can help her (complete with panic stutter). She says I look 12. I'm 30.
